Our First Month
My word of the month is grateful. I am so grateful for all of our families for entrusting us with the care of your growing children. For not only believing in us, but seeing and believing the capabilities of your own children. Even though they have been on this Earth for only a few short years, recognizing that each child as capable is key! We so often hear “I can do it!” But, how often can children safely do things on their own? At our lab, children are free to touch and feel and explore all of the materials without anyone telling them to stop. Children leave with the sense of “I can.”
In my childhood I always wondered about my own capabilities as an individual. I never thought of myself as a business owner or that I even had the capability to do it! Becoming a teacher was easy for me. I loved working with children even as young as age 12, and even though I stated in high school I would never become a teacher, here I am! I’ve learned through starting this business that even I am capable of so much, and so are you!
Building resilience, confidence, leadership, honesty, and patience are only a few characteristics that I’ve witnessed over the last month. Children have become more understanding, have grown a stronger bond with their parents, and learned to assist peers. Parents and care givers are receiving a better understanding about the ways in which a child grows, tests boundaries, and ways to emotionally regulate. We are clearly not just a play center, we are building our children’s future!
We will continue doing our part by providing a safe and welcoming environment for you and your children. We hope you can stop by this Saturday, April 6th, for our 1 Month Anniversary Specials! Come see what we’re all about!
With care,
